Apple warning as China supply issues could stop you getting a new iPhone and lose tech giant $8billion, expert claims
AN APPLE supplier has warned of growing problems that could end up affecting consumers.
Foxconn is a key supplier for Apple and its warning comes after Apple acknowledged it could lose $8billion in the coming months due to the issues.
According to , Foxconn Chairman Liu Young-way said: "There are many uncertainties in the market at the moment.
"They are presenting quite some challenges to demand and supply."
The "uncertainties" include new Covid-19 lockdowns in China affecting production and iPhone assembly workers.
Even Zhengzhou, a place in China referred to as 'iPhone City', has been affected.

Foxconn also warned of slowing demand for iPhones.
Apple is highly anticipated to be bringing out the iPhone 14 later this year.
It's currently unclear if the issues will be resolved in time to meet the demand for this iPhone.
Supply chain issues also plagued the launch of the iPhone 13.

CEO Tim Cook said recently: "The supply constraints were significantly lower than what we had experienced during the December quarter."
