Sky TV owners warned of costly mistake – check your account now to avoid being overcharged

IF you have an old Netflix account on top of your Sky subscription you could be unknowingly paying more than necessary.
That's because all Sky's TV subscriptions come with Netflix as standard.
You should be able to link your old account to your Sky account, meaning you don't have to do the paperwork.
But if you signed up to Netflix via Apple years ago you might have to do yourself.
Before 2018, you could join Netflix using the payment details Apple have on your iPhone.
But the streaming site made a huge change after that, re-directing people to sign up on their own website instead.

"We have Netflix & recently got Sky Q, which already includes it," one customer said.
"The info said, Sky would sort it so that we weren't going to be charged for Netflix outwith (sic) our sky plan, but we're still being charged through our Apple account.
"How do we stop these payments, please?"
So it might be worth checking you're not still being charged twice.

One way to check is by looking at the iPhone's subscriptions.
You can do this by going to Settings and tapping on your name.
Hit Subscriptions and look to see if Netflix is listed.
You may be able to unsubscribe from it right there and then.
Be warned, we don't know if you'll lose all your recommendations this way.
The customer in this case spoke to Apple support to resolve the issue.
