Spotify down UPDATES: Thousands of users struggle to play music on app

SPOTIFY has gone down for thousands with customers unable to play their favourite tracks.

More than 6,000 customers have logged complaints on the Downdetector website, which measures outages, since 9am this morning.

The vast majority are experiencing problems with the app.

    Reports have dropped to less than 150 after Spotify responded that the issues have been resolved.

    However, ten minutes after the response, there are still 120 people affected by the outage.

    Hacking group Dark Storm, known for targeting government and organisations in support of Israel, reportedly claimed responsibility for Spotify's outage.

    The group was behind a massive cyber attack on Elon Musk's social media platform X last month.

    Some Spotify users have been unable to play their favourite songs for more than a day.

    Furious users took online to demand their money back for the lost streaming time.

    This heat map shows the areas of the UK that are the most affected by Spotify outage.

    London seems to have the most users experiencing the issue.

    Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow also have a high concentration of the outage reports.

    One person wrote: "I take it Spotify is still down? Now running 3 days without any music showing or playing on the app."

    Another one added: " Still having issues with Spotify. Since yesterday morning any playlist I open getting message to say playlist is empty. Is anyone else still having issues?"

    A third person said:" Still won't load I'm about to end it."
