FIFA 18: Why UEFA’s new pitch ruling is bad news for anyone apart from FIFA players
UEFA have introduced a new rule about pitch patterns that has everybody, apart from FIFA players, furious

FIFA 18 fans are about to have even more good news - but it's bad luck for everybody else.
UEFA have introduced a new rule that no longer allows patterns on the grass in stadiums - supposedly because it makes it harder for officials to judge if players are offside.
So it's goodbye to that huge fox at Leicester City's King Power stadium.
Sad times indeed.
But for players, the lack of pitch patterns will be welcomed - as they've been causing headaches for the past few months, quite literally.
players complained the designs meant they couldn't see what was happening on the pitch and were, on the whole, extremely disorientating.
Not only that, but shadows - which EA may have to tone down this year - made it hard to see where the ball was.
Gamers are so happy about that they've started off a in celebration.
Time will tell whether EA manages to sort the pitch patterns before is launched on September 29.
Either way, FIFA gamers will be rejoicing as they will finally be able to get a clear view on the pitch in .
So, will there be new stadiums in FIFA 18?
Yep - as the guys at point out, there are some new additions in .
These include LA Galaxy’s StubHub Center, newly-promoted Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Amex arena.
Sadly, there’s one notable omission – and were not talking about the Camp Nou. White Hart Lane will not feature – as Tottenham have now moved to Wembley.
The Estadio Vicente Calderon will also likely get the chop, given that Atletico Madrid are in the process of moving to the Wanda Metropolitano.
