I’m an adrenalin junkie and I tried out Bear Grylls’ adventure park – the rush was incredible

AS an adrenalin junkie, I have been to loads of attractions and theme parks – but very few beat the incredible rush of The Bear Grylls Adventure.

And now thanks to The Sun’s Superdays, YOU too can get in on the action.

Will you aim high on the climbing wall, keep a steady arm with a bow and arrow, or take out the stresses of modern life with a spot of axe throwing?

Whatever you choose to do, there is something about the Birmingham centre that is bound to unleash your competitive spirit.

Mine jumped out on the climbing walls, which are inspired by some of the world’s most remarkable mountains, such as El Capitan in California.

You can also channel your inner lumberjack with the axe throwing activity, which was only introduced in March this year.

Medieval warrior

I’ll be honest, my throwing skills were initially pretty abysmal but after some coaching by the amazing team, I was able to hit a bullseye.

I then tried my hands at archery — a 45-minute, high-pressure experience which will make you feel like a warrior in a medieval drama.

You’ll soon be shooting like a pro with the help of a team of experts, who will teach you the right posture and how to take aim.

I challenge you to try the tough assault course where staff member Connor set a remarkable new record of 46 seconds during my visit.

One thing is for certain, after a day at the centre, you won’t forget the experience any time soon.
