MATT Smith and Emma D’Arcy are unrecognisable after striking transformations for House of the Dragon.
The former star of The Crown plays Prince Daemon Targaryen, King Viserys Targaryen's younger brother in the Game of Thrones prequel series.
Meanwhile Truth Seekers star Emma will play Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the King's daughter.
The pair were seen filming some of their first scenes in Holywell Bay in Cornwall, and both sported the white blonde locks Game of Thrones fans will be familiar with thanks to Emilia Clarke's character, Daenerys Targaryen in the original series.
Emma, 28, wore a red gown and floor length cloak, while Matt, 38, wore a black knee-length coat and boots.
House of the Dragon is set 300 years before the events of Game of Thrones.
It will tell the story of how the House begins to fall apart and the Dance of the Dragons civil war begins.
How King's Landing was built is also set to be revealed, as is the origin stories of some of the other iconic Houses seen in the original HBO series.
The prequel series was first announced back in October 2019, soon after HBO scrapped its other GoT series, Bloodmoon.
In December last year the cast were confirmed including Matt and Emma, and earlier this week, the first pictures of the cast at a table read were released.
