The final goal is to answer a question only 1% of the country can get right, in hopes of winning up to 100,000 pounds.

But fans of the show soon took to social media to complain that the questions in this week's episode were far too easy.

One wrote on twitter: "Piece of cake this lark…"

A second echoed the sentiment: "Does anyone else think these have been the easiest set of questions so far?"

A third chimed in: "Super easy tonight, not sure what's going on. Usually enjoy a challenge but this is bearing on boring."

And a fourth whinged: "These questions have been p**s easy wtf"

Despite some viewers moaning, the show has proved a hit for ITV.

Last night's episode scored 2.1 million viewers, the second most-watched show on the channel after Britain's Got Talent.

ITV are clearly thrilled with the show's success as they have already ordered a second series.

Lee Mack is currently presenting two big primetime shows on rival networks.

As well as The 1% Percent Club on ITV, Lee is also fronting Freeze The Fear with Wim Hof on BBC1.

He presents the challenge series, which sees celebs compete in a series of icy endurance tasks, with Holly Willoughby.
