Changing Rooms’ Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen in cheeky jibe at former co-stars as he admits he no longer speaks to them

CHANGING Room's host Laurence Llewelyn- Bowen has revealed he's no longer in touch with his original Changing Room co-stars.
The interior designer admitted it’s good Channel 4 didn’t bring back the likes of Carol Smillie and Linda Barker for the reboot, in case it became a decorating version of The Golden Girls.
The popular Channel 4 home improvement show ended last night and featured Laurence alongside new hosts - interior designers Micaela Sharp and Whinnie Williams.
The Channel 4 interior designer said: “I’m not really in touch with the people from the original series. Carol and Linda left the original series so there were points where I was doing it more or less on my own anyway.
“The idea of them coming back for the reboot...you’re going to have everybody in their late 50s," Laurence added.
He also said that the show needed "new people" and "young people", or else "it's the Golden Girls of MDF".

The Channel 4 host, released his new book which is all about the joys of maximalism - decorating your home with bold colours and patterns, filling it with all your favourite objects and make a room reflect your personality.
The home designer said the book is a "celebration" of the fact we've all now suddenly decided to do things we want rather have spaces that are all about their "real estate value" or whether "Mrs Hinch would approve of the way you clean it".
Previously Laurence has spoken about his friendship with his old cast mates and confirmed we need "new blood" on these types of show.
The new series is now hosted by Naked Attraction star Anna Richardson and the new series run has been full of dramatic scenes.
The popular home makeover show, which previously ran from 1996-2004, follows a trusting format in two neighbours swap keys to their homes to create each other's "dream room" in just two days.
Earlier this month, the designer decorated a home using fistfuls of pasta.

Laurence also revealed it's been "harder rocking his signature leather trousers this round."
He says: “I’m bit creaky, the last time I did it I was 37, I’m now 57. The leather trousers are certainly a lot bigger than they were back then.
