Is Inside Man a true story?
Inside Man is a major new thriller from Bafta and Emmy award-winning writer Steven Moffat.
The captivating four part mini-series follows a prisoner on death row in the US, a vicar in a quiet English town, and a maths teacher trapped inside a cellar.
Both the trailer and BBC synopsis do not give too much away, but we do know that the characters will "cross paths in the most unexpected way".
Actor Stanley Tucci, who plays death row prisoner Jefferson Grieff, has revealed that one theme is that "we are all murderers".

He told : "We could all potentially kill somebody.
"You can’t play him as a moustache-twirling villain with strange eccentricities or a funny voice.
"That, to me, is what makes it interesting. The more normal he is, the creepier it is."
Inside Man is NOT a true story, and is purely fiction.

Is Inside Man based on book?
Inside Man writer Steven Moffatt wrote the script as an original for the BBC, so the series is not based on a novel.
This isn't the first time he has worked with David Tennant.
In fact, he was the writer for Doctor Who during the actor's reign as the famous Timelord.
Steven's other BBC work includes blood thirsty drama Dracula, and noughties sitcom Coupling.

Inside Man kicks off on BBC One TONIGHT (September 26, 2022) at 9pm.
The next episode will continue TOMORROW (September 27, 2022) at the same time
The four-part series will then conclude the following Monday and Tuesday (October 3 and 4, 2022), also at 9pm.
