Love Island’s Millie Court hits back at cruel trolls who mock her acne

LOVE Island star Millie Court has blasted vile keyboard warriors for sending her abuse about her acne.

Millie, 26, hit out after receiving a nasty message from a troll that "cut deeper than it should".

The 2021 Love Island winner posted the horrible Instagram message online and warned her followers to always "be kind" to others.

It read: "Super sleek, super shiny and super spoty! Get your skin fixed before coming on here [sic]." A 'vomiting' emoji had also been added.

Millie said: "Please remember to always be kind on these platforms. These comments don't normally hurt me but today it cut deeper than it should.

"From someone who's suffered with their skin for years, and trying to be as open and honest as I can on my platform to make other people in my situation feel better, this just isn't nice to read."

She added: "It is probably a weird fake troll account and they literally mean nothing to me but still doesn't mean it's nice to read.

"I'm going to continue to enjoy my day however and not let this weirdo ruin it."

Since finding fame on Love Island alongside her now-ex boyfriend Liam Reardon, Millie has spoken openly about her battle with acne.

In October 2021, she told her followers that she feared she will "never get rid of it" and bravely unveiled pictures of when her skin was at its worse.

The reality star also revealed she only began suffering from acne in 2020, with a dermatologist confirming it was partly caused by the contraceptive implant.

Millie added: "I was also really bad at picking my skin.

"When you pick a spot with your fingers you are spreading it across your face, which made it worse."

Millie said she avoided taking prescribed medication for her acne and instead opted for natural remedies and an intensive skin care routine.

She continued with her remedies and routine while in the Love Island villa and it took a year for her skin to clear up.

"I genuinely thought I was never going to get rid of it, but all the things I've just talked about combined helped me to get rid of it," Millie explained.

"The thing that helped me get through it was realising that beauty is only skin deep. It didn't change how anyone thought about me.

"Everybody gets spots. It will go and it won't be for life. If people judge you on the way you look because you have spots, then that's their problem!"
