She felt it was “time to move on” after ten “happy years” with the businessman — which followed his divorce from TV cook Nigella, 63.

A source said: “Their age difference started to become an issue.

“Charles wants to slow down.

“He prefers quiet evenings at home while Trinny feels the opposite.

“She feels she’s in her prime and wants to be out and about.”

She has moved out of the house they shared in Notting Hill, West London.

Trinny, who appears on This Morning, owns beauty business Trinny London.

She hinted at her split from three-times wed Charles at the weekend.

On Instagram, Trinny wrote from her chalet in France: “Recently, with the big life change and moving house, it was important for me to come back here with (my daughter) Lyla and family just to have that moment, listen to the birds, be at one with nature.

“Very healing.”

Charles and Nigella ended their ten-year marriage in July 2013.

They divorced after he was pictured with his hand around her throat at a restaurant in London.
