Top Gear’s Paddy McGuinness delighted by ‘game-changing’ improvement to petrol stations saying ‘at last’

PADDY McGuinness was left rejoicing at a petrol station - after spotting what he reckoned was a game-changing improvement.

The Top Gear host admitted he was "easily pleased" after finding a gadget to help motorists.

He took a picture of a row of pumps, each of which had a miniature plastic glove dispenser on it.

Paddy, 49, wrote: "YES!!!! At last the aimless wandering around Petrol station forecourt bins is over."

He admitted: "PS I’m easily pleased" before adding the hashtags "#nomorepetrolfingers" and "#genius".

One follower agreed: "They’re a game changer those sandwich bag things on the handle."

Another wrote: "This makes me very happy." A third said: "Yep - great - but usually empty."

However, not everyone was impressed. One follower wrote: "Wait, are you one of those who puts gloves on to put petrol in your car?!"

Paddy has hosted Top Gear since 2019, alongside former cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff and motoring journalist Chris Harris.

The cricket legend, 45, suffered horror injuries to his jaw and broken ribs in a near-fatal smash in December.

The Sun has revealed that the future of the long-running cult car now show “hangs in the balance”.

A TV insider said: “The full extent of his injuries will surprise many people, as the details of what happened have yet to fully emerge.

“He is putting his career on hold until he is in a better place mentally and physically, and can’t say when he will return to making TV shows.

“As a loving husband and dad he understands the fear his family feel about what’s happened, knowing that he could have been killed.

“He is determined to resume his TV work at some point though."
