Gogglebox favourite put behind bars for shocking new show that sees stars jailed

GOGGLEBOX star Marcus Luther is swapping his comfy sofa for a jail cell after signing up to a shocking new reality show.
Marcus, who starred on Gogglebox with his partner Mica Ven, will be heading to prison for the Channel 4 programme.
Called HMP, the show will see a group of brave stars banged up for a week in a former jail to experience life behind bars.
Marcus will join an all-male cast of showbiz faces for the Channel 4 show. But being a celebrity will count for nothing.
Marcus and his co-stars will be put through the mill by a group of no-nonsense staff who have run real prisons.
A source said: “This is not one for the faint-hearted.

"Marcus will have to face everything real prisoners go through, from cramped living conditions in a cell to ultra-strict wardens who won’t be giving any of them the star treatment - and that’s without even mentioning the grim reality of prison food.”
HMP is set to air later this year.
Marcus and Mica - aka Big Meesh - announced in December last year that they were leaving Gogglebox.
It came two months after they suffered a devastating death in the family.

At the time, they shared a brief statement on Instagram that read: "We've had so much fun with you all tuning in at home & the hard-working Gogglebox crews but it's time to put down the remote and see what God has in store for us."
Last week, we revealed how Mica has signed up for the new series of Celebrity MasterChef.
Mica and Marcus originally joined Gogglebox for its 11th series in 2018.
