I was a popular Emmerdale and Shameless star – I’ve quit acting and now run a ‘weed bar’ in Thailand

ACTRESS Kelli Hollis was once on some of the most-loved programmes in the country but these days the star spends her time doing something completely different.
Kelli, 47, is most known for her role in the ITV soap opera Emmerdale as Ali Spencer, which she played between 2011 and 2015.
Prior to that Kelli also held a role in the popular comedy-drama series Shameless on Channel 4.
She took up the position of shop owner Yvonne Karib during her six-year stint on the show.
However, as acting work dried up for Kelli she decided to do a career switch to something totally different.
Now, Kelli lives in Thailand where she owns and runs a self-styled 'weed bar'.
Kelli has been in the country for over a year and recently uploaded a video to TikTok to celebrate her recent achievements.
In her posts, she says: "Came for 4 months, now run a weed bar." Pictures of her bar show hoardings advertising "marijuana", "hash", "joints" and "brownies".
Thailand is one of the few countries in Asia to have legalised the substance for personal use.
Cannabis dispensaries and so-called 'weed bars' are now regular sights in Thailand with over 8,000 licenses thought to have been handed out to sell the product.
Former actress Kelli now lives the high life in the country and regularly posts updates about the day-to-day goings-on at the bar in Bang Lamung in the popular coastal district of Chon Buri.
Kelli's bar regularly hosts parties where customers can get together and dance the night away with the unique experience of trying weed along the way.
It isn't the first time that Kelli has been forced to find alternative work after The Sun revealed that she used to work in a cafe after her TV career stalled.
A fan who spotted her there told The Sun Online "I couldn't believe it when I saw her serving coffee - but she was really nice and took pics with whoever asked.”
Despite this, Kelli has bagged herself over 100,000 followers on TikTok with fans who are keen to keep up to date with her every move and follow her Thai adventures.
