Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire says she’s suffering from ‘most terrible menopause’
HAPPY Valley star Sarah Lancashire says she is suffering from “the most terrible menopause”.
The 58-year-old actress said she had been struck down by hot flushes and is using gels to tackle lower hormone levels.
She said: “I’ve got brain fog.
"I was in Sainsbury’s the other day, and I found myself just stood there in the aisle and could not remember what I was there for.
“It just comes over you all of a sudden.”
Last week, she won two categories at the National Television Awards, with winning another.

But she joked she needed two fans to keep cool inside London’s O2 Arena, and brought a pal to look out for cameras.
The actress said: “If it looked like they were going to pan to us, he’d let me know so I could hide them.”
Speaking to The Sun after her win last week, the BBC star admitted she was expecting it at all.
“I’m shell shocked, I’m absolutely shell-shocked and almost speechless,” she said.
