BBC BREAKFAST has been caught up in another hosting shake-up as a fan-favourite star disappeared.
Viewers of the flagship Beeb show tuned in expecting to see Jon Kay and Sally Nugent at the helm.
However, Sally, 52, was missing from the iconic red sofa as Nina Warhurst took her place.
Mum-of-three Nina - who is BBC Breakfast's business correspondent, brought viewers the latest headlines with Jon, 54.
Neither Jon or Nina explained Sally's disappearance but it comes just days after she and Jon were reunited on screen.
However, disgruntled fans were left seething with the hosts that they claimed were better suited to "play school TV".

Meanwhile, Jon Kay was left red-faced on Tuesday as a technical error plagued Breakfast.
He was updating fans on the developing story of Greece's wildfires, leaving people fleeing their homes.
Jon was then about to speak to Beeb reporter Jessica Parker who was based outside Athens when things went wrong.
