Roman Kemp ‘ditched as Brit Awards host’ as it’s revealed he had to step in after A-list Hollywood star pulled out

ROMAN Kemp has been axed as host of the Brit Awards just weeks before the ceremony.
The presenter and radio host was a stand-in for Hollywood superstar Idris Elba last year.
This came about after the Luther star, 52, was said to have pulled out at short notice.
A BRITs insider told : "Roman has been told he isn't hosting this year.
"He loved it but accepts that these things change.
"He was flattered to be chosen to do it last year but he's a pro and gets it."

The 2025 ceremony will be taking place on Saturday, March 1 at London's O2 Arena.
Last year, the 31-year-old revealed how he "broke down in tears" after being asked to host the 2024 ceremony.
Roman joined presenting powerhouses Maya Jama and Clara Amfo to helm the star-studded event.
He said at the time: "When they told me, I cried.

"The BRITs has always been on this pedestal for me, because in terms of excitement in the UK, there is nothing like it."
Meanwhile, the star sought advice from seasoned pros before taking on the big challenge.
Roman said: "I spoke to Ant & Dec and they said it was the hardest show they’d ever had to do.
"But there’s a masochist side to me that really wants to experience that.
"That’s what it's about; putting your head above the parapet sometimes and if it scares you, that’s good."
He added: "I spoke to Jack [Whitehall] about how to play it. Comedians do different things, [but] we’ve got something they didn’t have.
"We each bring our own vibe to the table, Maya knows all these cool celebrities, she’s mates with Idris Elba, and Clara is this incredible muso whose knowledge is just out of this world.
"My presenting style [is] a horrific tale of self deprecation."
