White Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood SLAMS ‘mean’ Saturday Night Live sketch that mocked her teeth
The actress added that she was “feeling righteous” and might delete the post later, though fans encouraged her to leave it up
WHITE Lotus star Aimee Lou Wood has slammed a "mean" Saturday Night Live sketch that mocked her teeth over the weekend.
The segment, which featured guest host Jon Hamm, 54, saw Sarah Sherman, 32, play Aimee, 31, with exaggerated prosthetic teeth in a parody called White Potus.

Aimee, who has previously admitted to struggling with body dysmorphia, has since hit back in a string of Instagram Stories, where she also revealed the NBC show has apologised to her.
She told fans: “Whilst in honest mode – I did find the SNL thing mean and unfunny,” she told followers.
The actress added that she was “feeling righteous” and might delete the post later, though fans encouraged her to leave it up.
One urged: “Don’t delete it. It was mean and unfunny and saying it out loud removes their power.”
Another wrote: “I agree – everyone else in that parody was a political figure who was being mocked.
"The only character who wasn’t political was Chelsea, and they were clearly just taking the p**s out of your appearance/accent, which is extremely c***y and uncalled for.”
Aimee also took the opportunity to clear up confusion about a recent interview, in which some interpreted her comments as suggesting HBO executives had called her “ugly”.
She wrote: “Just to clarify: Nobody at HBO called me ugly!! Jeez, as if! I clearly say that was my own paranoid thought.

Aimee then defended cast member Sarah, adding: "Actually one last thing. Not @sarahsquirm 's fault x not hating on her, hating on the concept x."
In her recent interview, Aimee revealed that White Lotus creator Mike White had to “fight” to cast her, which led to some internal struggles.
She said: “When someone (not a producer) told me Mike fought for me, it was said in a nice way. I just spiralled about it because of my own imposter syndrome.”
Reflecting on that insecurity, she added: “My little head goes: ‘HBO didn’t want me. And I know why HBO didn’t want me, it’s because I’m ugly.’ Mike had to say, ‘Please let me have the ugly girl!’ That was the thing that was in my head.”

The actress has long been candid about her feelings toward her appearance.
In the same interview, she expressed concern that interest in her overbite and gapped front teeth was detracting from her performance.
The Sex Education star said: “It makes me really happy that it’s symbolizing rebellion and freedom, but there’s a limit.
"The whole conversation is just about my teeth, and it makes me a bit sad because I’m not getting to talk about my work.
“They think it’s nice because they’re not criticizing,” before pausing and adding: “And, I have to go there… I don’t know if it was a man would we be talking about it this much? It’s still going on about a woman’s appearance.”
Aimee has received widespread praise for choosing not to alter her teeth, bucking the usual Hollywood standards.
Despite being the target of the cruel joke, Aimee is laughing all the way to the bank.
As The Sun previously revealed, she’s worth close to £2million.
Her company, Pudding Moon Limited, filed accounts in December showing £862,000 in cash and a further £1.08 million owed by debtors.

A large part of that payday comes from The White Lotus season three, where the ensemble cast — including Walton Goggins, Patrick Schwarzenegger, and Sam Rockwell — reportedly earned a flat $40,000 per episode, regardless of screen time.
