Who is Iain Stirling?

Born in Edinburgh on July 27, 1988, Iain Stirling is a Scottish comedian, writer and television presenter.

Based in London and now best known for narrating ITV2's Love Island, he began his stand-up career while in his final year of law studies at the University of Edinburgh.

That same year, he made the final of the Paramount Funniest Student and Chortle Student Comedian of The Year competitions.

His first brush with fame and the spotlight was in front of 750 people at the Glasgow Fruitmarket.

After being dubbed one of Scotland's Hottest Newcomers by The Scotsman, his way to success was paved and the rest was history.

Iain has narrated Love Island since 2015 when it burst onto our screens and was hosted by the late Caroline Flack.

He has proved incredibly popular over the years, and has won over an army of fans.

Iain is known for his hilarious one-liners and witty observations of the Islanders.

The comedian is joined by host Maya Jama, who has presented the show since 2023.

As well as being the voice of the UK's Love Island, Iain also narrates the American version of the reality show.

When did Iain marry Laura Whitmore?

Iain got together with Laura Whitmore in 2017 and moved in together the following year.

The comedian proposed to the Irish TV host in South Africa in April 2020 with a yellow diamond ring he had designed.

Not wanting to hang about they then went on to marry that same year, in her native Ireland.

The pair then welcomed their daughter Stevie Ré in March 2021.

2016 - Nathan Massey and Cara De La Hoyde were together from the start of the series, and since they won show have two kids and are married. STATUS: Still together.

2015 - Despite poor Jess Hayes being Max Morley's second choice on the show, they did win - but they didn't last as a couple. STATUS: Broken up.
