BRITAIN’S Got Talent finalist Nabil Abdulrashid has signed up to Celebrity MasterChef.
The comedian, who was Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer act, will be cooking to impress John Torode, 55, and Gregg Wallace, 56, in the upcoming series of the BBC cooking competition.
His turn on last year’s Britain’s Got Talent saw one of his rip-roaring routines getting 3,000 Ofcom complaints.
But insiders revealed Nabil, 35, should only be getting compliments for his cooking, as the funny-man is said to be a pretty decent cook.
A source explained: “Nabil is known for his comedy but he’s also a dab hand in the kitchen.
“He loves cooking up Nigerian dishes and in a nod to his heritage, he will be rustling up dishes that compliment his roots.
“But Nabil has also proved he’s a pretty good all-rounder. It’s worth keeping an eye on him in the competition.”
Nabil signed up to the show alongside Melanie Sykes, 51, and Megan McKenna, 28.
Katie Price, 42, and Dion Dublin, 51, are also in the running for this year’s title, as well as Kem Cetinay, 24, and Coronation Street actress, Melissa Johns, 31.
The Sun went on to reveal last week that Happy Mondays legend Bez had also signed on the dotted line.
And thanks to Bez, Nabil may have some competition in the comedy stakes.

A second source added: “When Bez signed up for Celebrity MasterChef no one knew what to expect.
“But he’s probably one of this year’s funniest signing and he has injected some comedy into proceedings.”
Last year's Celebrity Masterchef was won by Irish broadcaster and activist Riyadh Khalaf.
