Faye Brookes shows ex Gareth Gates what he’s missing as she hits the beach in Spain after character Kate leaves Coronation Street
FAYE Brookes strips down to a sexy white bikini for a sun-soaked beach stroll as she starts a new chapter in her life.
The actress, who played Kate Connor in Coronation Street, recently filmed her final scenes for the soap and split from long-time love Gareth Gates.
Her Corrie character was seen jetting off to warmer climes, and, in a possible nod to the storyline, the Manchester star is also enjoying some time in the sun.
The Sun Online exclusively revealed in August how Faye and Pop Idol runner-up Gareth, 31, called time on their engagement because they "couldn't make it work."
The star is now embracing some me-time, showing off her toned abs as she hit the beach.
Faye plumped for a cute bandeau bikini and matching bottoms, both in a stark white shade, to perfectly complement her holiday glow.
She strode along the sandy beach, showing off her lean, gym-honed legs as she headed straight for the warm waters.
Looking effortlessly chic in a pair of trendy sunglasses, she ran her hands through her hair as she enjoyed a walk.
Faye briefly stopped to hitch her bikini bottoms a little higher during her stroll, before continuing along the Spanish sands.
She was spotted alone, yet her vacation pals may well have been enjoying some quieter time higher up on the beach.
Faye's newly single status came after The Sun Online broke news of her second split with Spirit In The Sky singer, Gareth.
At the time, a source told us: "Gareth and Faye have been through a lot together but they just can't make it work.
"She's in a different place right now after leaving Corrie and is working hard to land some new roles.
"She was really excited about the wedding and had even picked a venue but deep down she knew it wasn't right.

"They are both really sad about it but have vowed to remain friends."
Gareth popped the question to Faye in January of this year just four months after getting back together after a brief split in September of last year.
Gareth got down on one knee during a holiday in New York and presented her with a stunning 4-carat diamond ring.
Meanwhile, although both Faye and her Corrie character Kate have retreated overseas, soap fans were left irked at her understated exit from Weatherfield.
