The Nest viewers rejoice at happy ending as Dan and Emily keep the baby and Kaya embarks on a new life

THE Nest viewers rejoiced at tonight's happy ending as Dan and Emily got to keep the baby and Kaya embarked on a new life.
Last night's penultimate episode of the BBC drama saw the couple find out Kaya's baby didn't biologically belong to either Kaya or Emily, leaving them heartbroken.
Tonight's episode saw things unravel further, as Kaya ended up going to the press about the couple's bid to buy the baby for more than £50,000.
Tensions rose between the couple, who then questioned if they could even be good parents to the baby they had fallen in love with.
But after their solicitor told them the war of words could actually lead to the tot being placed into care, Emily met with Kaya to say they wouldn't continue to fight for custody.
She said: "We're here for you, but you call us, we won't call you.
"You can move away, do what ever you need to do to make the best life that you can, and I know that you can."
But when Kaya goes to see the baby, she runs out and reveals she never went into the surrogacy to end up with a baby.
"I want a life, I want to put the past behind me and live and build something for myself."
Referring to her own mother - who blamed her for the accidental death of her sister despite being the one who initially brandished a knife at her during a fight - Kaya added: "I don't want to just have a kid for company and dish out the exact same life."
In the end, Emily and Dan reunited and put their case for being the baby's guardians forward, and six months later, a judge ruled in their favour with the support of Kaya.
The judge said: "Dan and Emily love this child and are in a position to care for her.
"To deny her a suitable home in order to punish the two of them cannot be right."

The couple were granted a residence order, and were later seen in a new, smaller home happily raising the baby.
Meanwhile Kaya told Emily she was flat hunting, and the series ended with her standing on the roof of a block of flats watching the sun set, a smile on her face as she looked forward to her future and finally letting go of her past.
Viewers were overjoyed that the drama came to a happy conclusion compared to other shows.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Can’t really fault that ending"
Another added: "That ending was beautiful"
A third tweeted: "Brilliant last episode and series. Congratulations to all the cast"
