Reggie N Bollie debut new music video filmed in Ghana as they return home for first time in six years
REGGIE N Bollie have debuted the new music video for their single New Girl.
The X Factor stars – who were famously mentored by Cheryl on the show – returned to their home country of Ghana for the first time in six years to film it.
The video – which was launched as part of Littlewoods new ad campaign - sees the boys getting a royal welcome, that even included a red carpet being rolled out.
And they even managed to bring Accra airport to a standstill as hundreds came out to welcome them home.
Speaking about the exciting home-coming, Reggie said: “We’re the first Ghanaian artists, aside from Fuse ODG, to be signed to a UK label. When you move to London they think you’ve made it. But we really feel like we have.”
Shot in various locations around Ghana, the singers show off a dance routine choreographed by themselves.
They were even joined by some local lads in one scene who decided to join in the dancing.
It didn’t go completely according to plan though as their vehicle burst into flames as they travelled from one destination to another.
One of the lights in the back caught alight and started flaming up where Reggie was sat forcing them to stop on the motorway and evacuate the car as soon as possible.
Discussing the scary incident Bollie exclusively told The Sun: “It was controlled in 20 minutes but it was scary.”
Reggie added: “Bollie almost became roasted bacon.”
Meanwhile the stars also revealed that it would be a 'dream come true’ if they could perform Cheryl’s wedding to Liam Payne.
Saying they were “happy, happy, happy” for the loved-up pair, Bollie said: “Cheryl is our boss. Anything she wants us to do for her, we’ll do.”
While Reggie responded: “Of course! It would be a dream come true!”
The dynamic duo were less forthcoming when it came to discussing the new X Factor line-up , after all the judges expect Simon left.
“We couldn’t possibly say who we would want as a new judge,” said Bollie.
Reggie said: “There’s a lot of behind the scenes stuff people don’t know about, I like the old team. Nick, Cheryl, bring them back!”
“...Or have Reggie and Bollie!” joked Bollie.
“Yes! Let’s have Reggie and Bollie!” added Reggie.
