Calvin Harris ‘doesn’t need anybody’ following Taylor Swift break-up, claims pal John Newman

CALVIN HARRIS’ ripped underwear selfies and chirpy round-the-clock Snapchats aren’t just a front to show he’s over TAYLOR SWIFT.
The DJ’s best pal JOHN NEWMAN has confirmed he has never been in a better place following the break-up, despite him snubbing her as he accepted his Best Male Video award for This Is What You Came For – the song she co-wrote – at Sunday’s MTV VMAs.
John told me: “He doesn’t need anybody. His emotions are so strong, he’s so strong minded.
“He’s a one-man train who is never going to stop. The limits are literally endless for him.
“What he’s done is nothing compared to what he can do. That’s the scary thing, how far this really could go for him.”
The pair, who collaborated on Calvin’s cheating tune Ole, have been a solid support for each other since 2014 when they first worked together on Blame.
Calvin -who’s award-winning Taylor collab was also today named Google Play Music’s most streamed song of the summer - has been an unwavering shoulder to lean on for John as he battles a cancerous brain tumour for the second time, as I revealed last month.

John also revealed he has been calling up the Scot before bedtime to “check he’s tucked in safe” following his break-up with Taylor.
