Calvin Harris talks Taylor Swift split for the first time as her romance with Tom Hiddleston ends
DJ opened up about the media circus surrounding the breakdown of his 15 month relationship

CALVIN Harris has spoken out for the first time on his romance with Taylor Swift - the same day her new relationship ended - saying that she respected his desire for privacy.
The Scottish DJ dated the American singer for 15 months before they confirmed their split in June.
Ironically, his comments come the same day Taylor ended things with Tom because of his "love of the limelight" and desire for their romance to continue to play out in public.
While things seemed amicable at first, the romance took a shocking turn when just days later, The Sun exclusively revealed Taylor was dating British actor Tom Hiddleston.
Speaking for the first time about the break up, Calvin told : "It's very difficult when something I consider so personal plays out very publicly.
"The aftermath of the relationship was way more heavily publicised than the relationship itself.
"When we were together, we were very careful for it not to be a media circus.
"She respected my feelings in that sense."
However relations soured between the former couple even more when Taylor's camp leaked the news that she had co-written his latest hit, This is What You Came For, under a pseudonym.
Calvin was quick to hit back on Twitter, having written the melody for the song, writing: "I figure if you're happy in your new relationship you should focus on that instead of trying to tear your ex-BF down for something to do."

His tweet caused even more of a furore in the media, and with hindsight Calvin regrets his actions.
He said: "It was completely the wrong instinct. I was protecting what I see as my one talent in the world being belittled.
"It felt like things were piling on top of me and that was when I snapped.
"I'm not good at being a celebrity, but when it ended, all hell broke loose.
"Now I see that Twitter thing as a result of me succumbing to pressure.
"It took me a minute to realise that none of that matters. I'm a positive guy."
Taylor, 26, flaunted her new relationship with Tom, 35, in the following weeks since they were first pictured together, going on a romantic trip to Rome as well as the singer meeting Tom's mother.
The actor also attended her annual Fourth of July party in a now infamous I [heart] TS T-shirt, but this week The Sun revealed their romance was on the rocks after just three months.
While Calvin - who picked up the Patron Solo Artist of the Year Award at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London last night - didn't comment on his former flame's new relationship directly, he did reflect on his own failed romance, saying: "For both of us it was the wrong situation.
"It clearly wasn't right, so it ended, but all the stuff that happened afterwards..."
