Adam and David set out to cheer up Pete with a bike ride
Naturally David gets a little too competitive on the bike ride

MONDAY night's episode of Cold Feet revealed how Pete, played by John Thompson, is struggling with depression and in the new teaser clip for the next instalment, the boys try to make him feel better with a bike ride.
Adam, played by James Nesbitt and Robert Bathurst's David, don their lycra and jump on their bikes in the hopes that some exercise will make him feel better.
They decide to race to the pub but naturally it doesn't go entirely according to plan.
Pete is leading the pack as they near the pub but rather than let him win the race, David's competitive streak kicks in and he beats him to the finishing line at the last second, which certainly didn't cheer him up.
David screams for joy as he beats the others but Adam is wrecked and falls to the ground in a heap.
Speaking to his wife Jenny as he sits outside the pub, poor Pete seems more down than ever.
He tells her: "I came last, I always come last. Just for once it would be nice not to."
Jenny sounds exasperated and says: "I thought the point was to cheer you up."
Pete replies: "Yeah...fat chance."
Also in next week's episode, David and Robyn, played by Lucy Robinson, get an almighty shock when the police turn up and their door and he's thrown in a cell.
While he thinks it's all about moving his penalty points onto his ex wife's license, it turns out to be much more serious than that as his lawyer advises him to "say nothing".

Naturally, the first thing David starts to moan about is the hot drinks on offer rather than worry about being arrested.
He complains: "This is so degrading...and the quality of the coffee."
He then moans: "Can't you get me out of here? This is what I'm paying you for.
"It's piffling, my ex-wife taking speeding points for me."
But his lawyer interjects saying: "It's got nothing to do with a driving offence. They're alleging you misappropriated client fund."
Clearly relieved, David says: "So they nothing about the speeding points? This will be easy."
But his lawyer is not so convinced and tells him not to give anything away to the investigators.
Cold Feet continues on ITV Mondays at 9pm.
