EastEnders’ Tameka Empson revealed to be latest Strictly contestant to hide a secret history of dancing
The soap star confessed to being the leader of her own dance group 'like Diversity'

EASTENDERS star Tameka Empson has become the latest Strictly contestant to reveal a secret dance past.
Tameka, 39, who plays Kim Fox in Albert Square, admitted she had even been in her own dance group.
In an exclusive interview, she said: “I have danced before. I had ballet and tap classes for a while but I also had my own dance group.
“I thought I was the Ashley Banjo of Diversity! We were called Unique and I was the driving force behind it.
"I was about 16 at the time but when I came back from holiday, my friends told me they didn’t want to do it anymore.
“I remember crying and I was so gutted. We would have been like Diversity.
“But doing Strictly is such a different kettle of fish. I am going to have my work cut out with the ballroom.
“I am so grateful to be given the opportunity to come on this show. “
