Bring Me The Horizon bringing out A-list singer for surprise set at Reading & Leeds festival

WHEN ED SHEERAN brought out Bring Me The Horizon to join him on stage at the Brit Awards, it was one of the night’s most memorable moments.

Now the favour is being returned.

Insiders tell me he is to join the Sheffield rock band during their sets at Reading and Leeds Festival this weekend.

An insider said: “Bring Me’s set is shaping up to be one of the most electric of the weekend and is jam-packed with surprises.

“They have been speaking with Ed and they are hoping he is going to be able to come out.

“The plan as it stands is to bring him out in Reading tonight. It will be an incredible moment if they can pull it off.

“Ed and Bring Me’s Brit performance was amazing and they want to emulate it again at the festival.”

Bring Me The Horizon, fronted by Oli Sykes, are headlining the Main Stage West in Reading today and Leeds tomorrow.

Rappers Dave and Megan Thee Stallion kicked off the festival last night, playing the main stages in Reading, while Ed was 1,000 miles away on stage in Warsaw, Poland.

In Leeds, headliners The 1975 and Halsey got the party started.

Given how many acts pulled the plug on their performances at the last minute, like Rage Against The Machine, I think the festival organisers have worked wonders to bring in some amazing replacements.

I am gutted I can’t be there this weekend.

But I will be raising a warm pint of lager to all the revellers.

Not mad on drink

READING and Leeds Festival is known for being wild and boozy – but despite her surname, you probably won’t see Madison Beer hitting the bottle there this weekend.

She admitted: “I really don’t drink, kind of ever. But when I do, I do drink beer.

“It’s not just because it’s my last name. I don’t like hard alcohol, I can’t do it. I like Mexican beers.”

The US singer returned yesterday with her new single Dangerous and will debut it during performances in Reading today and Leeds tomorrow, which may get emotional.

She said in an exclusive chat: “It wasn’t written about a break-up, it was about something else, funnily enough.

“About having this long-term relationship with somebody and feeling like they just moved on and forgot about you.

“When I was in rehearsals for Reading and Leeds and doing this song, I was definitely crying for a lot of it, so I am anticipating some tears for the festival. But it is what it is.

“I’m happy I have an outlet where I can articulate these things.

“I feel like I can do it in a healthy way and it definitely feels like a release.”

It will be part of a bigger project following the release of her debut album Life Support last year.

Madison said: “The next album is done and it is on the way. I’m hoping for a January release and I’m very, very proud of it.”

JENNIFER LOPEZ and Ben Affleck are putting on plenty of PDAs during their honeymoon.

The couple were all over each other as they hit the shops in Milan.

They jetted off to Italy following their lavish second wedding ceremony in Atlanta, Georgia, last weekend.

And maybe their physical attraction is written in the stars – because Jen, who is a Leo like Ben, apparently pays close attention to the zodiac.

Glee actress Heather Morris, who previously worked as a back-up dancer for acts including Beyonce, has revealed she was told J-Lo once refused to hire Virgos who auditioned for a tour.

On the Just Sayin’ podcast, Heather claimed: “J-Lo said, ‘If there are any Virgos in the room, can you please raise your hand?’

“She whispered to her assistant and said, ‘Thank you so much for coming.’ And they had to leave.”

If it means anything, J-Lo, I’m a Leo just like Ben.

Fans wild for Tame

TAME IMPALA ALL POINTS EAST, VICTORIA PARK, LONDON

AFTER 15 years of performing, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker knows how to put on a belting show.

The Australian band, fronted by Kevin, drew in the biggest crowd of the night as they opened with their mock Big Pharma advert for fictional medicinal product Rushium.

It was as if its high-energy side effect did not wane throughout the two-hour show, which began with Borderline and Breathe Deeper, from their fourth album The Slow Rush.

Blasting strobes of laser all over the park, the Perth outfit geared up for their fan favourite, Elephant, before Let It Happen had the crowd jumping.

Slowing down the tempo, Feels Like We Only Go Backwards provided the ultimate soundtrack to the final act of the day.

But it was The Less I Know The Better that had the audience singing every line.

Harry's strip secret

HARRY STYLES once stripped in the Radio 1 office before posing with nothing but a cuddly parrot over his bits.

It is thought to have been when he was in One Direction, and hushed up by bosses who told DJs not to discuss it.

But during Scott Mills and Chris Stark’s final show, Chris said: “Someone called Chloe who worked on the music team had a toy parrot that jutted on to my desk – a parrot I vaguely remember Harry Styles posing with, completely naked, one day after work.”

But after getting some looks in the studio when he made the comment, Chris added: “Why are we all looking at me like I’ve said something really bad?”

In more exciting news for fans, Harry has announced another leg of his Love On Tour run of shows for next year.

He will be supported by Wet Leg in Coventry, Edinburgh, Slane, London and Cardiff in May and June.
