Martin Kemp tells all on his on set rows with Let It Shine judge Gary Barlow

LET IT SHINE judge Martin Kemp has admitted he discovered Gary Barlow’s ruthless streak during filming for the new BBC Talent show.
Martin, 55, appears on the show alongside the Take That star and Dani Minogue – with Glee’s Amber Riley also on hand to help out during the audition stages.
Auditions for the show have now ended and, speaking exclusively to The Sun Online, the former EastEnders actor admitted Gary was hard faced when it came to judging the hopefuls.
He said:” Me and Gary do argue, we shout at each other and we row – we all stand up for our points of view.
“Gary is a tough judge and he has the right to be, it’s his show that we are finding these kids for.
“For me and the other judges, we’re giving our knowledge and trying to find a band to work inside this theatre production
“But for Gary, Gary’s got so much – all of his life invested in it – because it’s about Take That.
“Gary’s life is invested in this so he is a lot tougher than the rest of us.”

Martin admits he’s taken on more of a “mentoring” role for the show’s hopefuls, adding: “Gary is very honest, if he doesn’t think someone will fit inside the show he will tell them.
“I am more someone who’d like to give them another viewing – a second chance if they didn’t shine in the first audition.”
As well as taking part in Let It Shine, the Spandex Ballet singer is also hosting news series Martin Kemp’s Murder Files.
The series follows Martin as he lifts the lid on some of the world’s most notorious murderers – including The Yorkshire Ripper and Fred and Rose West.
Martin explains: “It’s looking inside the mind of a maniac and it’s kind of what fascinates me.
“We have someone called the Green River Killer and there were 70 odd bodies found.
“I would love to be a detective – I’m too old for it now but it was a career that I fancied when I was younger.”
Catch Martin Kemp’s Murder Files on Quest at 9pm on Saturdays.
