Helen Mirren, Nicole Kidman and Uma Thurman pull out all the stops at the Pirelli 2017 Calendar dinner
Hollywood stars donned their best frocks for the annual event in France

HELEN Mirren pulled out all the stops on the red carpet to attend the Pirelli 2017 Calendar dinner in France on Tuesday night.
The Oscar-winning actress vamped things up in a black velvet gown which featured a split up the middle and a sheer neckline which featured sparkling detail.
For extra bling, the 71-year-old's sleeves were covered with sequins, and Helen topped off her look with some statement earrings and a black satin clutch bag.
At one point during the red carpet posing, she was joined by her husband of almost 20 years, Taylor Hackford, and the actress stared up adoringly at her spouse as he wrapped his arm around her waist.
With her hair tucked behind her ears and a slick of pink lipstick, Helen looked as stunning as ever, setting the bar high for her fellow red carpet goers.
However Nicole Kidman stepped up to the challenge, opting for a gun-metal silver shimmering gown.
While it was high necked at the front, when the 49-year-old turned around, she revealed the open back style of the dress.

With her blonde hair pulled back off her face, Nicole accessorised with a pair of chandelier earrings, glittering bangles and a bejewelled box clutch.
Providing a splash of colour was Kill Bill actress Uma Thurman, who wowed in an teal high neck gown, which clung to her curves as she sashayed into the event.
With her usually blonde hair dyed brown, the 46-year-old kept her locks back off her face with a pretty hair band, and kept her accessories simple with a black clutch bag and statement earrings.
Also bringing her fashion A-game was British actress Charlotte Rampling, who - like Helen - looked younger than her years in a figure-hugging black longline top and skirt which featured a thigh-high split.
The 70-year-old flashed a hint of cleavage but added a large statement choker necklace to give her ensemble a bit of edge.
The actresses were joined at the event by fellow stars from in front and behind the camera, as well as TV presenter Clare Balding, who hosted the gala dinner.
The 45-year-old held her own against the Hollywood A-list in a dazzling silver sequin dress which gathered at the waist and showed off her own slimmed down figure, after restricting herself to 1,200 calories a day last year in a bid to lose weight.
The women came together to celebrate the publication's annual black and white themed shoot, which saw them pose with minimal make up in an array of settings.
