Tupac Shakur, Journey and Pearl Jam set to join the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame

TUPAC Shakur, Pearl Jam and Journey are some of a few who have been formally admitted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for 2017.
An announcement on Tuesday revealed that they alongside ELO, Yes, Joan Baez and Electric Light Orchestra would be inducted.
Tupac is only the sixth hip hop artist to be given a place.
The rapper, who would be 44 now, was murdered at the age of 25 in 1996 after being fatally shot in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas.
Even after all these years he is still ranked as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.
Artists can be indicted into the Rock Hall of Fame 25 years after the release of either their first single or album.
Music legend Nile Rodgers, known for his work with Chic and Daft Punk among many others, will also be given the Award for Musical Excellence.
Journey, now best known for their song 'Don't Stop Believin'' being covered in TV musical Glee, revealed that they were "humbled to be included".
Jeff Lynne, singer-songwriter in Electric Light Orchestra, said that he was "deeply honoured" to be part of the Hall of Fame.

He added: "I would like to thank all the great fans who have supported us over the years."
Joan Baez was shocked by announcement and said in a statement: "I never considered myself to be a rock and roll artist.
"But as part of the folk music boom which contributed to and influenced the rock revolution of the sixties, I am very proud that some of the songs I sang made their way into the rock lexicon. I very much appreciate this honour and acknowledgement by the Hall of Fame."
