Adele pulls all the pyrotechnics from Aussie shows after son Angelo is hit in the eye by debris
Following the distressing incident Adele has pulled all the fireworks displays from her upcoming shows in Australia

ADELE managed to do 107 shows in a row last year with just one cancellation due to a dodgy throat.
But as she kicked off her new tour on Tuesday, she was already having a crisis behind the scenes.
The Brit superstar was left distraught during dress rehearsals when debris from a firework ended up in her son Angelo’s eye.
Following the distressing incident Adele has pulled all the pyrotechnics from her upcoming shows.
Breaking the news to Aussie fans in Perth, she revealed: “We’ve been rehearsing here and up until last night we had fireworks for you.

“And obviously everyone likes a fireworks display. However, my son was watching in the crowd . . . there wasn’t much of a crowd, there was like five people. A bit of debris — it wasn’t big — but a bit of s**t went in his eye and he was very upset, so I got rid of the fireworks.”
So it’s no surprise she took such drastic measures.
As well as no fireworks, there was almost no Adele for her first stadium show.
The star, who has struggled with nerves in the past, admitted she tried to do a runner from Perth’s Domain Stadium just hours before she was due on stage.
She said: “I’m doing as many shows as I can with the availability. I’m even doing stadiums. Do you know, one time I said I wouldn’t even play arenas?
“I said I’d only ever play theatres. To be honest, about three hours ago I nearly tried to run away, so I don’t know how I managed to stay in the venue, to stay on the stage.”
Adele has ten more dates to go on her tour of Australia and New Zealand before she takes on the biggest shows of her career yet — four huge nights at London’s Wembley Stadium.
By then I’m sure she’ll have smoothed out any bumps . . . including any creepy-crawlies infesting her stage.
She freaked out when a cockroach scuttled past her mid-song on Perth, screaming: “There’s a f***ing cockroach on the stage. There’s a f***ing fly in my tea and all.”
Those famous Adele F-bombs are clearly staying put for now.

Blunt's pub punt
NOT content with having a nightclub in the back yard of his Ibiza villa, hard-partying JAMES BLUNT has set his sights on a new watering hole.
The singer will soon be able to add pub landlord to his CV after purchasing Chelsea boozer The Fox And Pheasant.
I can reveal James, mocked up as a landlord below, has bought the historic pub to save it from demolition after property developers earmarked it for new housing.
And I’m told he is such a fan of the venue he will be pulling pints behind the bar.
A source said: “James has registered himself as the director of James Blunt Pubs Ltd and is totally committed to the project. It’s not just an investment – he wants to be hands on.
“He’s already been boasting that it’s going to be a pub full of aristocrats and even royalty.”
James follows in the footsteps of film director GUY RITCHIE who ran Mayfair pub The Punch Bowl before selling up in 2013.
Guests who propped up the bar there included DAVID BECKHAM, JAMES CORDEN, LEONARDO DiCAPRIO and princes WILLIAM and HARRY.
JENNIFER LAWRENCE didn’t win an Oscar this year, but in the absence of her own golden statuette she’s done the next best thing – and dressed up in the style of one instead.
The Passengers star shimmered in a gold sparkly dress as she sat on the back of the seats in a California diner for a photoshoot plugging a lipstick brand.
Famous for tumbling over on red carpets, J-Law was most definitely missed at this year’s Academy Awards, which she skipped to film spy thriller Red Sparrow in Budapest.
But there’s no room for clumsiness in Jen’s new role as sexy Russian agent Dominika Egorova in her latest film, scheduled for release in November.
GiGi on 'I do'?
FIRST comes the tattoo, then comes marriage.
Just a few weeks after ZAYN MALIK revealed his inked ode to girlfriend GIGI HADID, the couple have sparked fresh speculation he has popped the question after a year of dating.
While they are yet to comment on the sparkler, Gigi has left no doubt about her feelings for the ex-fiancé of PERRIE EDWARDS, declaring Zayn the “love of my life” on Instagram.
Looks like she could be swapping the catwalk for the aisle soon.

THE 1975 will headline the first night of Suffolk’s Latitude Festival on July 14 with MUMFORD & SONS and FLEET FOXES topping the bill over the next two. PLACEBO, FATBOY SLIM and JACK GARRATT are booked too.
Tatt's just silly, Ed
ED SHEERAN got DAMIEN HIRST to design one of his new tattoos – but his offering to pal ROMAN KEMP wasn’t quite so artistic.
The singer, below with Roman, inked the Capital FM host with some old-school graffiti, writing “Ed woz ere 2k7” on his ankle, inset. Not one to miss a trick, Ed also added a little ÷ symbol to plug his new album Divide, which comes out tomorrow.
Roman’s no fool either, as Ed is well on his way to becoming one of the the biggest music superstars on the planet.
No matter what the singer writes, if that tat was on canvas it would rake in a fair few quid.
Gary 'Mixes' it
ROBBIE WILLIAMS and GARY BARLOW are at risk of having another major fall-out – but thankfully not in real life.
In the latest alternative ending for Rob’s Mixed Signals music video, Gary is found to be having an affair with Robbie’s fictional girlfriend.
The initial promo, above, saw Robbie panicking about the whereabouts of his on-screen lover. A new version out yesterday revealed she was cheating on him with his real-life wife AYDA FIELD.
Now a new clip, out today, above, shows his TAKE THAT bandmate Gary as the culprit.
I first revealed in Bizarre last month, inset, how Gary and Ayda had filmed starring roles for Robbie’s new video.
And I’ve got another revelation. If you call Robbie’s number shown in the clip – 07520 619 567 – a big surprise is in store . . .
Pets 'non' starters
THE PET SHOP BOYS left their French fans devastated on Tuesday night when they called off their sold-out Paris show at the last minute.
I’m told the cancellation of the L’Olympia gig was because of “unresolvable technical issues”.
NEIL TENNANT and CHRIS LOWE now plan to refund ticket holders who missed out and have rescheduled the gig to June 5. A spokesman said last night: “Neil and Chris would like to apologise for the resulting inconvenience and disappointment.”
She's Ellie on her own again
But after sparking romance rumours, the singer, who split from the McFLY bassist last March after two years together, has confirmed they have not reunited just yet.
During an acoustic gig for Deichmann shoe collection in London on Tuesday, Ellie said: “He’s one of my really good friends. For me, when I’ve been in relationships with people, those are the people I will always hold dear to me. So if still maintaining a really awesome friendship with an ex is possible, then of course that’s the best thing.
“You’ve created an amazing connection with someone. I think it’s important to share this life with people you have a genuine bond with.”
Their reconnection comes after Brad’s separation from second wife ANGELINA JOLIE, who was at the centre of the then-couple’s shock break-up back in 2005.
What surprising timing.
Proud dad Ashley is behaving ode-ly
RIGHT ON cue, ASHLEY COLE has been gushing about his first child – just as his ex-wife CHERYL prepares to give birth to hers.
He wrote a soppy ode to his son to mark him turning one on Tuesday, 12 months after having the baby with Italian model SHARON CANU following just six months of dating.
In a note shared on Twitter, the footballer wrote: “I’ve been incredibly fortunate to have most things I’ve wanted in life: Cars, houses, watches, clothes.
“Coming from East London with not a lot growing up, and a mum looking after two boys alone, life wasn’t easy. So of course it’s easy to lose your way in life sometimes – to forget about the things that are most important.
“Every day I wake up to the most beautiful thing I could dream of: A son that makes my heart melt, a son that never stops smiling, a son that can make me laugh no matter what kind of mood I’m in, a son that I’m proud of, a son I watch fall asleep because I never want to leave him, a son who reminded me what’s most important in life.”
Sweet words, but I doubt Cheryl will be adding him to speed dial for some parental advice.
BIZ METER: FILM

Box office
THERE’S no demolishing The Lego Batman Movie. It continues to dominate the UK box office after raking in another £5.6million over the weekend, bringing its total earnings to a tidy £23million. Meanwhile, Fifty Shades Darker crossed the £20million barrier to become only the sixth 18-certificate film ever to do so.
Oh-scars
Oscars producer Michael De Luca has broken his silence on the biggest fiasco in the history of the Academy Awards. Speaking about that La La Land gaffe, he said: “It was like the Hindenburg . . . I literally heard, ‘Oh my God! He got the wrong envelope!’ And then it was slow motion.”
Backlash
CASEY AFFLECK has responded to the backlash after his Best Actor Oscar win. Some film fans were angry due to the history of sexual harassment claims against him. But the Manchester By The Sea star said he was “incredibly proud” and added: “Everyone deserves . . . respect in the workplace and anywhere else.”
Casting
Brit NICHOLAS HOULT has landed a role alongside Oscar-winner EMMA STONE in new period drama The Favourite. He will star as Robert Harley, the Tory party leader during the reign of Queen Anne at the beginning of the 18th Century. RACHEL WEISZ is also on board in the Yorgos Lanthimos-directed flick.
