Lily James mimicked the iconic moment while filming for the World War II romantic drama after Kate Winslet dropped out
LILY James enjoys a Titanic moment on the Bristol set of her new film Guernsey.
The Downton Abbey actress, 28, got into character for the World War II drama by flinging her arms to the side at the bow of a ship on Monday.
It seemed she was channelling Kate Winslet who did the same in an iconic scene with Leonardo DiCaprio in 1997.
Lily, who plays journalist Juliet Ashton in the aftermath of the war, was joined by co-star Glen Powell, 28, who took snaps on his mobile phone.
She landed the lead role in the World War II romantic drama after Kate dropped out.
The film is based on a 2008 best-seller by Annie Barros and Mary Ann Shaffer of the same name.
Last year producer Paula Mazur called Lily “our consummate Juliet” while discussing the project.
The new film will be in cinemas next year.
