Wayne Bridge is ‘desperate’ to sign up to Strictly Come Dancing and admits he wants to ‘wipe the floor’ with wife Frankie
Former Chelsea star thinks he could outshine his other half on the dancefloor

WAYNE Bridge would love the chance to star on Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking to The Sun Online at the launch of PAW Patrol: Game On! DVD, the former footballer admitted he thought he could go further than his wife Frankie – who was a runner up on the BBC One show in 2014.
Wayne said: “I’d put my dancing shoes on. I’ve been to watch it obviously with Frankie doing it and I know a few people that are there and hopefully I could do better than Frankie and win it, rather than coming where she came.
“I’d love to do it and get one up on her. Frankie thinks I’m competitive and I don’t like losing.”
The 36-year-old is no stranger to reality TV shows since retiring from professional football in 2014.
Wayne became a fan favourite when he flew out to Australia to take part in I’m A Celebrity: Get Me Out Of Here in 2016.
The campmates became firm friends while taking part in the show and Wayne revealed all the stars of the show were still in touch.
He said: “We have a group messaging group. I’ve seen Ola [Jordan] and Lisa [Snowdon] a couple of times.
“I speak to Scarlett [Moffatt,] Joel [Dommett], Larry [Lamb] and Jordan [Banjo] a lot.

“Everyone keeps in touch to be honest. I would have seen everyone a little bit more if I could have but I’ve got the kids to take care of.”
Since leaving football, Wayne has stayed at home to take care of his two children with Frankie – three-year-old Parker and Carter, two.
When it comes to their future careers, Wayne admitted it could be hard for them to make their mark on the game that saw him collecting League and FA cup medals with Chelsea.
He explained: “I’d be more than happy for them to follow in my footsteps. It’s never going to be easy because so many people want to do it.”
“But I’d support them in whatever they want to do, they’ll find their own route.
“If they want to play football they can play football. We like being outdoors and doing sport when I can get them away from Paw Patrol.
“They absolutely love the games and we play them together all the time. There are a lot about sport which is a massive bonus for me.”
PAW Patrol: Game on! is out on DVD Monday.
