ELTON John stormed off stage during a performance in Las Vegas when a fan kept grabbing at him during his show on Thursday night.
The over-zealous fan, who is yet to be identified, caused Elton to go into an x-rated rant on the microphone before he walked away from the stage.
As part of the performance for Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting), a series of fans were given the once in a lifetime opportunity to join the star on stage.
However, , one fan couldn’t stop trying to touch the star, and despite Elton telling him to stop, he continued.
Eventually, Elton had enough and after telling the person involved to “f*** off” away from the microphone, he took his issue public.
The stunned audience then watched as Elton left the stage, and the crowd that had been invited were escorted back to their seats.
The fan in question was escorted from the premises following the incident.
His band continued to perform without him and eventually returned to the stage once the crowd had cleared.
However, he announced: “No more coming on stage during Saturday Night. You f***ed it up.”
Elton then continued his show at The Colosseum without a hitch, performing his hit singles including Lion King’s The Circle of Life.
In a statement released on Saturday night, Elton cleared up the situation and told his fans exactly what had happened.
Elton said: “On Thursday Night in Las Vegas a fan put his hands on the piano keys while I was playing and continued to do so even after I asked him to stop.
“He then proceeded to reach over the piano and try and take pictures, completely disrupting the performance.
“I bring fans onstage every evening when we play Saturday Night in the set, it is always a lovely part of the show where I get to meet them, shake their hands and have them right there with me while I play.
“They have always been very courteous to the fact we are in the middle of playing a song live.
“This guy was rude, disruptive and had no care or respect for our show and so I let him know how I felt, then left the stage until they had removed him.”
This isn’t the first performance that has been met with disruption during Elton’s residency –after another over-eager fan left him fearing he’s lost a tooth after throwing beads at him during his performance.
Elton, 70, was performing Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting) and again found himself in trouble as he was hit by the flying missile.
In a video of the incident, the star can be seen being taken by surprise as he stops performing and jumps back in his seat.
A shocked Elton immediately moves his hand to his mouth - an action suggesting he is concerned he might have lost a tooth.
Assistants rushed towards him to check that he was ok.
The unwelcome interruptions to his show come as the singer announced he would be quitting touring after his three-year 300-date Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour in order to spend more time with his family.
His decision came almost a year after he was taken ill with a bacterial infection on a flight home from Santiago, Chile in April 2017.
