Love Island’s Camilla Thurlow blasts Piers Morgan after he calls this year’s stars ‘thick’

CAMILLA Thurlow has blasted Piers Morgan after he said this year’s Love Island stars are “the most stupid people in the world”.
She lashed out on Twitter after hearing of his rant about the contestants during an episode of Good Morning Britain.

Some people agreed with Piers after he took aim at Hayley Hughes, who got stumped by the issue of Brexit and had to admit she didn’t know what an earlobe was.
He later went on to tweet: “CLARIFICATION: I’m not interested in THICK people.”
However Camilla thought his comments were ludicrous and made her feelings crystal clear.
In a scathing tweet, the 28-year-old said: “In my opinion, categorising people who you’ve (apparently) never watched as thick demonstrates an incredibly restricted understanding of intelligence, and the idea that your interpretation is the only one that matters - slight superiority complex perhaps?”

Her message got over 13,000 likes on the social media app and she was praised by her followers for speaking out.
One told her: “Good for you Camilla. Personally I love watching Love Island. It’s a bit of funny. Piers is just a very rude man!”
Another commented: “You can't judge if someone is intelligent or not on one subject.
“They may be highly intelligent individuals but not know much about Brexit. Not everyone knows everything about every subject. Completely agree with you.”

While a third replied: “You, Camilla, are a prime example of how wrong his opinion is. I am never quite sure whether he is as pompous as he seems or a complete wind up...which is it.”
Piers put his head in his hands when ITV bosses played a clip of Hayley talking about Brexit with her Love Island co-stars.
As well as calling them “thick” he also branded fans of the show “morons”.
