Peter Andre lets Katie Price spend 41st birthday with her children after she apologised to him on Twitter
PETER Andre allowed Katie Price to spend her birthday with her children yesterday after she issued an shock apology to her ex-husband.
The Sun Online can reveal Katie was "hugely grateful" for the gesture, which meant she could celebrate in London yesterday with Junior, 13, and Princess, 11.
Pricey's kids from her four-year marriage to 46-year-old Peter joined her to celebrate her 41st birthday with her boyfriend Kris Boyson.
Clutching bags of gifts and an enormous heart-shaped balloon from her mum, they were all smiles as they returned home from their big night after dark.
A source told The Sun Online: "Katie was thrilled to spend the day with her children and thought it was really kind of Pete.
"He didn't have to let them go out with her and Kris, but it seems her apology has gone a long way to brokering peace with him."
It was a stark contrast to last year's birthday, when Peter kept Princess and Junior over the half-term break and prevented them from attending their mum’s boozy 40th birthday celebrations.
Reality star Katie left fans reeling earlier this month when she tweeted a unusually gushing tribute and grovelling apology to the Mysterious Girl singer.
She wrote: "I had a tough year last year! A person stirred trouble with me and Pete which he reacted to protect our children!
"Yes I said things but I was upset and didn’t mean harm! Me and Pete love each other really lol !I’m sorry @MrPeterAndre if I hurt you!"
Peter, who spent yesterday at a Buckingham Palace charity bash for The Not Forgotten Association, replied: “Do you know what, I really appreciate you saying that. Thank you.”
Katie's apology came after she took a series of swipes at Peter’s parenting, calling him a "bell end" for not allowing them to be filmed at her clothing launch.
She has also railed against how strict he is over their diets, insisting: "I’d rather my kids be quite feral. Eat what you like, try what you like."
In June last year, Katie confirmed that Junior and Princess were living with their dad after the singer banned her from seeing them due to her wild behaviour.

Katie also left Peter fuming after he discovered she'd left his children alone with boyfriend Kris.
But it appears things are finally getting back on track, with the star looking relaxed and laughing in a pink top and leather trousers with her children last night.
Katie and Peter wed in 2005 after meeting on I’m A Celeb before splitting in 2009.
The glamour model is also mum to Harvey, 16, with former boyfriend Dwight Yorke, as well as Jett, five, and Bunny, four, with ex Kieran Hayler.
